our mission

Our mission is to raise awareness in the community, programs being delivered will include subject matter specialists that will participate in panels, workshops, and offer training sessions to deliver knowledge of Black history and other educational resources.

We recognized a need to be more community affiliated with members of parliament; therefore, the Greater Highway Youth and Development Training Centre's plan is to research and become involved in seminars where we can voice our concerns to help bring attention to the discriminatory issues that exist across our communities.

We provide opportunities to the members of our community through our Development programs. To develop leadership skills we will offer apprenticeships for trade students, training on how to handle covert and overt racism in the workplace, in-person mentorship, community involvement in programs designed to improve its members’ livelihood. We also offer after school and summer programs.
